Damask Diva's Sarita Blog Hop

Welcome to the Damask Diva's Blog Hop......
If you came from  Traci Williams blog, then you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas site to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

For this Blog Hop I made three projects, two cards and a scrapbook lay out.

This scrapbook layout is the optional one that is mentioned in the Sarita Workshop on the Go Kit.  All items used comes in the kit and you will need to use the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.

Now my next two projects are cards.  The card below I again used the stamp set that come with the Workshop on the Go.  You can't tell by the picture but I did use the Spray Pen with the Gold Rush re-inker.

Now this card was my favorite to make and I used one of my favorite stamp sets "Just a Number".   Everyone enjoys a little humor on their Birthday, don't you. Along with the Sarita paper I also used the Wooden Mini Medley Accents Collections and some of the embellishments left from the scrapbook layout. The little piece under the saying (Lagoon in color) was cut too small when I was making the scrapbook layout so I used it here. I thought the little punch of "Lagoon" helped finalize the look of this card.

The next blog on the list is Jamie Blades. Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using "Sarita"
paper packet from Close to my Heart. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas' site for the full list.”

"Dream Pop" Damask Diva Blog Hop

Welcome to the Damask Diva's Blog Hop......
If you came from  Mandy Leahy's Blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas site to find the complete list of blog hop participants

We are featuring the "Dream Pop" paper that is a promotional item being sold by Close to my Heart for National Scrapbooking Month for the month of May. If you purchase $35 of qualified products you can add this on for $10.  The specialty colors listed for this pack are as follows:  Banana, Grey, Mint, Raspberry, Strawberry and Tangerine.  The paper is amazing and you won't be disappointed.

Now I completed two projects using this paper packet.  One is a card and the other I used the "My Creations Star".

The "My Creations Star" was cut using the template provided by Close to my Heart. Now I tried to upload the template but just couldn't do it, so I apologize for that. I used the following paper for the sides of the star:

GORGIOUS isn't it!!!! Now I'm a big fan of red and that is why I used it.  The other color's would of worked just as well.

As you can tell I cut 10 pieces (5 of each selected paper) for the sides (take note I use the scraps for the card below). What I did before gluing down the sides, was dab black ink on all sides and corners where the two different papers would met.  I thought this would help with blending it together and it did. I used the wonderful Cricut Artiste Cartridge to cut the flowers (pg 54) and the "Hello" (pg 65).  I hand stamped some leaves and cut those out.  For the "Hello" sign I used the Burlap Ribbon and glued a small piece of cardstock behind it to make it more sturdy.  For the finishing touches I used the  Sparkles Black Flourishes, Black Sparkles and Flutter Paper Shapes (butterfly).

My fellow Damask Diva's Sister have already seen this card, but I love it so much I wanted to share it with you.

As I mentioned above, I used the left over scraps from cutting the sides of the Star for the card below. The base of the card I used White Daisy and it measures out to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  For the sentiment I used a stamp set that has been retired. But you can use any saying that you choose.  I again used the Cricut Artiste Cartridge for the flowers (pg. 44).  In the middle of the flowers I used some Red Gems that came with a Christmas Card Workshop.  The leaves are hand stamped and again if you have a stamp set with leaves on it and you love it, use it. I used the Sparkles Clear Flourishes (small) that is placed on the left of the "Thanks".

This is an amazing paper packet and you won't be disappointed if you buy it.

The next blog on the list is  Cydney Fowler's . Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using "Dream Pop" paper packet from Close to my Heart. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas' site for the full list.”

For Always Damask Diva's Blog Hop

This month we are using the "For Always" paper pack from Close to My Heart.  This is one of my favorite packets of all time.

This card I just love.  The  pattern I used is from "Make it from the Heart, Volume1", pg 44.  The base of the card is the Ruby cardstock (5 1/2 x 4 1/4).  I cut 6 (1 1/2x 1 1/2) squares then cut them in half.  I used a strip of the "Shimmer Trim, Black", and placed it down the middle of the card.  The word "Smitten" is from the stamp of the month "Happy Valentine's".  I stamped it in black ink and used ruby ink around the edges.  The red and yellow flower are from the "For Always Assortment".  And the pearl pin is from the "Bling Assortment".

For this card I also used the Ruby cardstock (one of my favorite new colors).  It's was also cut to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. The cake stamp is from "The Happy Couple" set.  I stamped in in slate and then used the wonderful Artiste Close to my Heart Cartridge to cut out the scallops. The bell on the top of the cake is also from the "The Happy Couple" set, which I colored in with Slate ink and Ruby ink for the bow.  The grey flower in the lower left corner is from the "Bliss Assortment".  It's a simple card but you know exactly what it's for.

The next blog on the list is Cydney. Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using "For Always" paper packet from Close to my Heart. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas' site for the full list.”

Whooo's Your Valentine

This month we are having fun with Valentine's Day.  Who doesn't love Valentine's day.

Here are some great cards I made using the "Whoo's Your Valentine" Work Shop from Close to my Heart.  I used a Die Cut Card in Colonial White as my base.  For the die cut shapes I used my most favorite crafting item "Cricut Artiste Cartridge".  The ink colors are Cashmere and Ruby. And I used Honey marker for the little owls beaks.  The cardstock color is Ruby.  For the little trim by the lip, I cut two 5 1/2 x 1 and scored them at 1/2, 1, 2, 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 4, and 5 inch mark.  Designer brads "Rhinestone" was use to accent the lip.

This card was cut from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge (pg 36, 5 1/2 inches) using White Daisy Cardstock.  The pink flower in the middle was also cut from the Artiste Cartridge (pg 50, Two cut at 1 1/4 inches).  The new Silver Glitter paper was used.  Blush and Hollyhock ink pads were used for the stamping elements.  And Shimmer Trim & Hollyhock Stitched ribbon used right across the middle.

The next blog on the list is Ashley's. Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using Whoo's Your Valentine. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas site for the full list.”
